Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Releases the First Look as Black Adam
He had first announced his role in the project last November. He wrote, “ I’m honoured to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it’s a true pleasure to become Black Adam.”
Johnson says- “The hierarchy of power in DC UNIVERSE is about to change.”
The actor first shared first look of his character on Instagram captioned- “The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. Black Adam arrives tomorrow at #DCFanDome. Personally I salute my Warner Bros and DC Partners for creating this historic opportunity for fans to absorb our entire DC universe while we all continue to manage the challenges of COVID. Well done. The man in black is coming to crush them all”
Following that Johnson took to twitter and Instagram. He wrote, “You’ve waited long enough. As I, thousands of years to be exact. The hierarchy of the power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. The man in black comes to crush them all. Join us now for the world’s first #DCFanDome(Sic).”
Later on Johnson unveiled a teaser trailer, full of concept art and also the look of other characters. The trailer goes from the Adam’s history of slavery to freedom, which he explains in another Instagram post where he writes-
“This is the one that changes everything.
There is no more chain around this neck and I am no longer a slave. And now you have my word. No one will ever stop me again and the hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change.
Vowing to always protect and be the champion of my people. THANK YOU #DCFanDome for that absolutely electrifying love and hype for our BLACK ADAM panel. Our entire team as well as myself are deeply committed and passionate to the bone to deliver a story you’ll love and blind out our DC Universe.”
