8. Asteroid Grab
NASA's Osiris-Rex performed a 'touch and go' maneuvre with the Asteroid Bennu in order to collect the samples of rock and soil. The asteroids like Bennu are the free-roaming building blocks of planet and could offer a lot of information about how worlds like earth came to being. The spacecraft was successful in collecting the samplebut it won't begin its journey back to Earth until March 2021.
