5. The Great Conjunction

The Great Conjunction is the conjunction of two naked-eye planets, Jupiter and Saturn, these planets appear closest together in the sky during the conjuction. The Great conjunctions occur approximately every 20 years when Jupiter overtakes Saturn in its orbit. But the 2020 conjunction was special because the spacing between the planets was very lessand very close conjunctions happen much less frequently. The conjunction was also called the Christmas Star because of the time it occured in, 21st December.
