The video of Kanta Prasad, owner of Baba ka dhaba went viral in October early week, the video was uploaded by Gaurav Wasan’s. The viral video captured the attention of masses, celebrities, sportsmen and all eyes of the public.

Kanta Prasad was crying in the video, his business was in loss due to the lockdown and he was complaining about the lowest number of customers. The pandemic devastated him so badly. His stall is located in Malviya Nagar, Delhi. 

Baba ka Dhaba now need no introduction. Gaurav Wasan posted an emotional video of Kanta Prasad and his wife Badami Devi. Now, Mr Kanta Prasad is claiming that Gaurav Wasan who managed all the funds, has misappropriated some funds amount of the donation and only gave him Rs. 2,00,000 till now. As per Mr. Kanta,the donation amount is much greater than this amount.

South Delhi DCP Atul Thakur said, “ We have received a complaint and the matter is being enquired upon.” Police officials have confirmed to the news reporters that, “ No charges have been filed yet” but they have received a complaint and have started the investigation on the same.

Mr. Kanta Prasad also said that Gaurav Wasan  has shared his and his family account details and phone number to collect all the donation amounts from worldwide. He also claimed that Mr. Gaurav has received huge amounts with different modes of payment and didn’t inform anything to him.

Apparently Gaurav has denied all the accusations and he has proof of the donation amount Rs. 3,78,000 which he has given to the owner of Baba k Dhaba. Gaurav felt demotivated and said If this is the result of a good deed then he should not help Baba.

Mr Wasan said that "I was trying to protect the guy, I told him we will raise some money for you - he did not ask me to mention his bank account. If he would have asked me to use his bank details, I would have."

Zomato has also tweeted that Baba ka Dhaba is now listed in their app.

The stall of Baba ka Dhaba has been run by the couple since 1990 in South Delhi. They served fresh homemade food to their customers. The cost of the meal is less than Rs 50. He asked for some donation to the public in the viral video of Gaurav Wasan’s and now the situation has turned in another way.
