"Can He Hear Himself Talk?"||Bollywood Actors Slams BJP MLA For The Malicious Rape Comment

Surendra Singh, BJP MLA from the Bairia constituency in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia is now facing a lot of flaks for his remarks made on rape by saying that rape can be stopped by inculcating good values in girls by the parents rather than blaming the government.

Bollywood actors- Kriti Sanon, Swara Bhasker, and Pooja Bedi have slammed BJP MLA for his degraded thinking and comments.

“Teach daughters how to not get raped??? Can he hear himself talk? THIS is the MINDSET that needs to change! Its so messed up! Why can’t they give some sanskaar to their sons???,” Kriti wrote on Twitter.

Swara Bhasker shared an old video of Surendra Singh’s comments on the Unnao Rape Case and called him a ‘Rape Defender’. Quoted

 “Yeh ghatiya aadmi purana paapi hai . #rapedefender BJP MLA Surendra Singh,” she tweeted.

Pooja Bedi also tweeted on this matter that the BJP needs to cleanse itself of ‘patriarchal lunatics’ like MLA- Surendra Singh.

The BJP MLA, known for his regular controversial comments, was replying to a question raised by the media on 3^rd Oct., over the increase in rates of crimes against women amid outrageous movement against the alleged gang rape and torture of a 20-year-old woman from UP's Hathras, who died in Delhi last week. As he gave his comments over the matter to the media, he seemed to shift all the blames over women.

"I am a teacher along with being an MLA. Such incidents (like rape) can be stopped only with sanskar (culture), not with shasan (good governance) or talwar (referring to sword or might)," the UP BJP MLA from Ballia said.

Rahul Gandhi (Congress leader) had also responded to these remarks:

"This is the filthy RSS male chauvinist mentality at work. Men do the raping but women need to be taught good values," he said, as he commented on the BJP MLA.

As in return- BJP MLA, gave a shot back at Rahul, saying: "Rahul is a person of dual character and foreign mentality. He is totally ignorant about Indian culture. He will understand the definition of nationalism if he takes tuition from nationalists. He could not understand the crux of the country's culture."
